I was waiting for a jogger or dog walker to come into view so that I could get a silhouette against the rising sun, and while I waited some birds came by.

Waterfowl heading for the lake and breakfast. By October the sun is rising further to the south east, creating a warm golden hour effect over Wascana Park in Regina.

Silhouetted by the rising sun on an October morning, a solitary walker rounds the corner of the path around Wascana Lake. At this time of year the water is warmer than the morning air, creating mist above the surface of the lake.
