An abandoned shed, once part of a farm in the Qu'Appelle Valley, as seen in the golden hour soon after sunrise. The property is now managed by Nature Conservancy Canada, and called Valley View.

A heavily cropped image of a piping plover by the shore of Shoe Lake West. The bird's colouring blends well with the sand and gravel by the water's edge. I was there as a volunteer at a Piping Plover Survey. We counted eleven birds during our hike around the lake.

An avocet seen at a Nature Conservancy of Canada property called Shoe Lake West. It is in fact a wetland that in some summer seasons dries up, but during the nesting period the migratory waterfowl like this habitat.
