From my vantage point on Pine Island, I waited for this White American Pelican to cruise along until it was aligned with the rising sun over Wascana Lake.

On cool mornings these White American Pelicans gather on stones in Wascana Creek. They often remain almost motionless for moments at a time, but grooming is part of their morning ritual.

I saw this American white pelican on a foggy morning, swimming along Wascana Creek. As I was editing it it seemed to become more like an impressionist painting, so I explored some editing settings I don't often use. I decided to stop with this image.
