High winds plagued us this whole trip. We've been to some of these places in May but this time it was hard to keep the tent staked down at Red Rock and here in lower elevation Death Valley. Be advised on the randomness of winds.

Drove down to SR 190 in the park and tried to take this 4WD road south of Emmigrant Station that goes west across the washes to Lemoigne Canyon. Not recommended! Extreme washboards and washes and had to pull the shovel out for the first time to get out of high center. Camped as soon as we were out of sight of the main road.
