These are much bigger than the wild poppies you see by the side of the road in Nor Cal.

Roxanne and I set out to cover the second half of the epic four day 1,600 mile desert trip I took with Andrew in 2000. We spent a whole week on just these places south of Death Valley, plus some additions. Here's part one. First, took I5 south to SR 138 east to the Antelope Valley California Poppy reserve.
