It was a rough day but the desert did not beat us. Decided to take Roxanne to Poinsetta and see some other sights in a closer orbit to Sparks.

So we drove 100 miles north to Sparks to get a truck rather than risk going 100 miles south into the desert on dirt roads with a shaky car. Camped here in the alkali flat east of Fallon across Hwy 50 from Sand Mountain.
