The real entrance was on the forst floor which is no longer accessible. So this crack in the wall has to be used instead.

In the churchyard of St. Giles, The Street, Bowes. An ancient and often overlooked village straddling a cross Pennine Roman road. Now diverted from the village and relegated to the name of the A66. Arkengarthdale is situated a few miles to the south of Bowes and is a beautiful area to walk.
