happy birthday, glenn (september 25)

Originally this name has nothing to do with the world-famous Canadian pianist, as it is one of many names in St Mary's Church of Tyneham, painted on the walls in a frieze commemorating all the families who once lived there but had to leave during World War II, when the Army took over the valley as a firing range. But when I heard on the radio this morning that it's Glenn's birthday today I remembered that one of the names I read in that church was Gould. (According to Wikipedia, the Goulds lived in the Gardener's House.) So here it is.

A glorious Sunday that deserves its name - as if it had never rained. Took this picture inside the schoolhouse of the lost village of Tyneham. Of course I had to carry a tripod, so all the other visitors thought I was a pro and did everything to keep out of my way. Was it wicked of me not to clarify that error?
