What place could be better to test a Nikkor-H 50mm f/2 lens made in 1971 than a dark and dingy shed full of clutter, infested by spiders, and possibly home to a family of mice? ISO 3200 on Nikon D700. Lens at f/4; shutter 1/60th. No flash, just available light from a door left ajar.

East Somerset Railway, Cranmore. Nikon D40 and AF-S Nikkor 28-200mm VR lens. Shot at a focal length of 105mm (multiply that by 1.5 for the equivalent field of view for a full-frame camera).
