Victorian Mutton Chops Simulation App

I processed a photograph of practically no merit to simulate a shadowy, faded-wall, mutton-chops look worthy of a Dickens novel. This happened more-or-less by accident. I don't have access to an app called Victorian Mutton Chops Overcrowded Dark Brown Furniture Look. I just moved the sliders around a bit. It really is that random and haphazard - as you will have guessed already.

It's scary outside.
Nikon D2Xs and Nikkor 70-210mm f/4-5.6 AF lens dating from around 1987 when automatic focus was new and polymer science and technology was not yet regarded in the lens-manufacturing industry as a good alternative to good old metal and glass.
Most photographers need a 70-210mm or thereabouts zoom lens but can do without the cost and weight of one. This ancient relic is cheap and almost lightweight.

I liked the panoramic aspect but the people dynamic led me to create a selective enlargement.

An Aldi Supermarket lorry in a queue.
Without the tree in the foreground, this picture would simply depict a boring lorry with an over-dependence on the colour red and a crass slogan which is practically meaningless.
I salute the tree.

Nikon D2Xs and Nikkor 70-210mm f/4-5.6 AF lens. The lens dates from circa 1987. It is sturdy and - for a lens of this type - fairly lightweight at 665g (24 ounces). But mysteriously it increases in weight as I proceed through my planned photographic explorations of distant parts. If it keeps pulling this trick it will have to stay at home and be used only for photographing nearby domestic objects.

Nikkor 70-210mm f/4-5.6 AF lens at 210mm and f/11. I gave up carrying a heavy 70-210mm f/2.8 lens and (after a period of reflection) settled on the lightweight and ancient Nikkor 70-210mm f/4-5.6 AF lens instead. It does however need to be stopped down quite a bit from its widest aperture to get decent clarity.
