A wet day at the start of August. Nikon D50 + Tamron AF Zoom 55-200mm f/4-5.6 lens. The Nikon D50 dates from June 2005 until November 2006. When this picture was taken in 2016 it had been superseded several times. If you wanted a cheap digital SLR camera and you didn't care if it got bashed or stolen or wet, this was for you. It was liberating to be free from any anxiety over kit. That's why I favour elderly digital cameras. No bells, no whistles, no worries.

Some of these people were queueing at a bus stop in the rain. They deployed umbrellas to stay dry. Other people in this picture are wearing swimming costumes and are less concerned over whether it is raining or not.

Nikon D50 + AF Nikkor 24mm f/2.8 lens. A 24mm lens on a crop sensor camera like the D50 gives a similar field of view to a 35mm lens on a full-frame camera. It's a get-in-close, almost intimate, experience for photographer and subject alike.
