I saw a scene from a fairy tale and got one shot of it. It is processed so as to accentuate that nuance. I hope their happiness endures.

Nikon D700 and Nikkor 85mm f/1.4 AF-D lens. When I had a 35-70mm f/2.8 zoom lens I noticed that I was using the 70mm end more or less all the time. So I reasoned that an f/1.4 85mm prime lens would suit my style better, as well as admitting four times as much light.
For this photograph, the ISO was 400, the shutter speed 1/125th, and the aperture f/4.

I remember Old Road before it was 'Old Road'. It is a bit of the original street through Beanacre left cut off after the Council built a new section of road to straighten out the bends and widen the street generally. The scheme was accomplished by a combination of buying bits of front gardens and bits of back gardens. On completion the new straight and broader main road enabled much higher speed for vehicles; gradually the accident rate grew; there were increasing numbers of injuries and fatalities. Speed limits were imposed and pedestrian refuges (islands) constructed so that village folk could get across the street to see their neighbours. I would not want to be in the middle of the road on a pedestrian refuge sheltering from traffic on both sides ignoring the speed limit. Several times the refuges have been demolished, presumably by someone overtaking and running out of road. On the other hand, there is now this little oasis of relative quiet and safety for making a few photographs.

This old-fashioned parkland fencing separates a new-ish path between the village and the National Trust car park from the stone circle, and more remote, the village cricket field.
Parkland fencing is quintessentially English. It is utilitarian without being ugly. It is designed to last and won't blow over in a gale. It keeps livestock out effectively. Yet no-one really notices it except in an abstract sense of feeling it simply 'fits in'.
From a child's viewpoint, parkland fencing is an ideally positioned ladder for moving easily beyond prescribed limits and enabling serious exploration to continue unhindered.
Sublimity

At this point one place becomes confused with the other;
And time slips uncontrollably
Until like a badly-driven steam engine
It stops abruptly, disconcertingly.
And I am here, or there;
It scarcely matters,
For one is as sublime as the other.
