A wet day at the start of August.
Nikon D50 + Tamron AF Zoom 55-200mm f/4-5.6 lens.
The Nikon D50 dates from June 2005 until November 2006. When this picture was taken in 2016 it had been superseded several times. If you wanted a cheap digital SLR camera and you didn't care if it got bashed or stolen or wet, this was for you. It was liberating to be free from any anxiety over kit. That's why I favour elderly digital cameras. No bells, no whistles, no worries.

Bath, the Abbey Churchyard. A moment of ennui. The French have many ways of expressing boredom; perhaps they become listless if not stimulated.

A shop in Old Orchard Street, Bath, Somerset: a quiet part of a busy city. Photographed with a Canon EOS 30D and a tired old Canon EF35-105mm f/3.5-4.5 lens.

This is Sydney Wharf on the Kennet and Avon Canal in Bath, Somerset. In the past, coal from the Somerset coalfield was unloaded here, as were slates and agricultural products.
Photographed from the east side of Sydney Wharf bridge which straddles Bathwick Hill, using a Fujifilm FinePix S3 Pro and Tokina SD 50-135mm f/2.8 DX AT-X Pro lens.

My reflection is in the doorway. I am using a Fujifilm FinePix S3 Pro with a Tokina SD 50-135mm f/2.8 DX AT-X Pro lens and I am carrying a Billingham 225 bag. The keener-eyed will doubtless have already logged all these details. The cafe was not yet open when I made this photograph, which was a shame, because I was in need of refreshment.
