Wednesday, 12th March, 2014. Mid-afternoon and a bright spring day, yet quiet considering that Wells is a favourite place for tourists. Too early in the year, with weather being unpredictable and plans better laid for later days.

I visited Cole Manor Tearooms. I thought it was very good. They are not paying me for saying this. I may have missed a trick.

All outings become more memorable after sampling the Victoria jam sponge cake in the refreshment room. This was good, but the five star rating at Lacock remains in front, possibly because they add whipped cream to theirs.

Tribute to Garry Winogrand
01 May 2014 |

Garry Winogrand said, "All things are photographable". He considered that photography was not about the thing being photographed, it was about how that thing looked photographed. I find that attitude refreshing. Tea is also refreshing.
Photographed with a Nikon D50 and Nikon 28-80mm f/3.3-5.6 G lens.
