Canon EOS 20D with 18-55mm kit lens. A white gate with black lettering: rendering it in black-and-white seemed apt.

This is a little village in the Nadder valley of Wiltshire. The number of inhabitants is small, maybe 200 or so. Property is expensive. Amenities are few. I saw a church, a cemetery (above, on the hill), a posh hotel, and a sewage pumping station. There wasn't much activity even though the day was dry; I saw one person walking two dogs. I thought the place was rather bleak. Maybe the bit called 'Teffont Magna' has more to offer. However, I did not visit it.

Taken with a Canon EOS 20D on an overcast day in March,2014. This is a repeat posting following some processing to lighten and improve the clarity and luminance. The original was rather dark and moody, and hid a lot of the detail.
