Wow! Brick wall and fence, in a Diminishing Perspective sandwich: a Sovereign Remedy for Tired Eyes. Or not, as the case may be. Nikon D2Xs with a Nikkor 28mm f/2 AI lens, made circa 1981, and said by Bjørn Rørslett to be excellent for DX, FX, and on film. Rørslett commented that the lens offers outstandingly sharp images and these are produced at all aperture settings from f/2 to f/8. Rørslett found it unusually resistant to flare and ghosting and eminently suitable for shooting directly into the sun.

Nikkor 24mm f/2.8 AF lens on a Nikon D2Xs, which provided a field of view equivalent to 35mm on full frame. I like the sign being positioned so that it runs parallel to the eaves of the shed behind. It really is a gardening shed - at Lacock Abbey. Perhaps it served as some servant's dwelling in earlier times. Or perhaps the wealth of the Talbots enabled them to specify the best even if it was merely a shed.

Using an old (and mistreated) Canon EF 35-135mm f/4-5.6 USM lens from the early days of the EOS system when film reigned supreme. I'm not sure the quality is as good as my even older trombone EF 35-105mm f/3.5-4.5 which is also in a sad state, but the extra focal length is handy. On an EOS 40D it behaves like a 50-200mm (to be precise, 56-216mm), a standard lens with great telephoto capability.
