East Woodlands is one of two neighbouring hamlets situated on the Somerset/Wiltshire border to the south of Frome and along the western edge of a private Estate owned by the Thynne family of ‘Lions of Longleat’ fame. The Thynnes once owned the two hamlets but much of their holdings on the Somerset side of the county line were sold in 1947 to meet death duties.

They appear to disgust their users so comprehensively that they cannot wait to put the empty packets in a dedicated litter receptacle.
