Cum on feel the noize. Nikon D2Xs and Nikkor 20mm f/2.8 AF-D lens. The D2Xs was introduced in 2006. I bought mine secondhand in 2011. It looked nearly new yet had 40,000 shutter actuations. It no longer looks as though it's just out of the box; more like it's just out of the boxing ring. This is image number 81,207.

Wednesday, 12th March, 2014. Mid-afternoon and a bright spring day, yet quiet considering that Wells is a favourite place for tourists. Too early in the year, with weather being unpredictable and plans better laid for later days.

The Pentax Optio S30 digital compact from 2004 was a revelation. I never researched how to use it properly but fortunately it did most things automatically. It was small, sturdy, and in my pocket, and I never bothered with film again.

From the passengers' point of view these corridor train carriages were greatly superior to the foetid open plan types we suffer today.
