Devizes, Wilts.
Photographed in 2012.
Fujifilm FinePix S3 Pro + Nikkor AF-S DX 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5 G ED.
Processing notes: This was always a JPEG and thus scope for improvements is limited. Fuji colours are usually well saturated and that seemed to work against me with this photo. I put it through the old version of PicMonkey which still survives on the ipernity platform and made distinct improvement to the colours; then I wondered what it might look like in B&W and on a whim used a Tri-X filter. Finally I restored some of the colour, keeping it muted, and settled for what you now see above.

We’re in the country, we had a nice day.
You had an ice cream, I bought a postcard
But never sent it.
Smile for me with those smiley eyes.
Let me warm my hands by the heat
Of all that redness clothing your body.
Let’s hold hands.
Let‘s be lovers again today,
If only for a day.
I’ll send that postcard tomorrow.
Maybe.
