This is one of three photographs where I was exploring the possibilities of the 2x Macro Teleconverter MC7 by Teleplus. I was using it in combination with a Nikkor-O.C 35mm f/2 lens with one extra stop of exposure to allow for light fall-off. There is another teleconverter similarly named which is an autofocus gadget and costs real dough. In contrast, mine is an all-manual accessory selling for peanuts on the second-hand market. All teleconverters degrade photographs but we still use them in a tight spot. Many deficiencies can be covered over with high ISO and post processing.
