Someone thought it was worth doing. And if it gave them pleasure, of course it was. Yet I have a faint memory that this kind of floor mosaic was de rigueur some years ago, and copied copiously to the point of becoming trite. All these years later it seems scarce, like an old Mini, once ubiquitous, now rare.

Nikon D50. Tamron 55-200mm lens. Both ridiculously, fabulously, stupendously cheap.

The saga of the gas inspection cover unfolds further with the sudden and unexpected appearance of an emptied bird's egg. Magpies in the area look shifty and well-nourished. Recent rain has boosted the saturation of the grass.

A completely accidental photograph which occurred during the course of preparation for cleaning the sensor of a Fuji S3 Pro. I uploaded it simply because I liked the geometry, texture, and reflections. The sensor clean was almost a success. There's still a blob of crud over on the right-hand side, where the sweep of the swab terminates. You can't see it in this photograph, nor a good many others. I'll tolerate it for a while.
If you can get a photograph like this by shooting through a window pane - and I haven't given it any software assistance, this is SOOC - what does it tell you about dirty lenses, etc? I doubt you need to be over-fastidious.
