The Canterbury Tales provides an unparralled account of life in England during the 14th century. In this diptych the left-hand panel is a detail from a work by Michael Leonard borrowed from the cover of a paperback book. The right-hand panel is a section of letterpress printing from The Perdix Press, Salisbury, a private concern of Walter Partridge. The photograph was made using a Nikon D2Xs and a 55mm Micro-Nikkor f/3.5 lens.
