Old People

Nikon D2Xs and Nikkor 28mm f/2 AI lens. 800 ISO (always scruffy on this camera), 1/250th, f/3.2. Should have halved the shutter speed and set 400 ISO. Inattentive.

Blind Man's Buff

Beercraft, 3 Argyle Street, Pulteney Bridge, Bath. The Holburne Museum can be seen at the far end of Great Pulteney Street. The view might be improved if traders stopped putting A-boards in the way. Maybe they enjoy the spectacle of blind people colliding with them and falling over.

Magnifying Glass and Reading Glasses

I continue to use the Nikon D2Xs camera which was introduced in 2006. It is heavy yet comfortable to use and there is a handy switch or button to change settings and save delving in menu lists. Photographs taken at base 100 ISO are noise-free, and so that is where I like it set. This necessitates fast lenses and a steady hand or tripod. Fortunately the Tamron 35mm f/1.8 lens has image stabilisation to help get the picture in low light. Speed: 1/25th. Aperture: f/2.8. ISO: 100.
