This ship loaded with timber, was one of several that have gone aground at this spot on the approach to Cardiff docks. I remember a TEXACO oil tanker on exactly the same mud bank.

Illuminated at night. The German tidal generator for the Bard 1 project makes an unusual sight whilst at anchor off Penarth. It was sheltering in the calmer waters of the Bristol Channel during the recent storm. On route from Belfast to Germany.
