Looking like a ventilator shaft from a railway tunnel. This is in fact a shaft into the disused Ogilvie Colliery near Deri.

This was the case when looking at fellow flickr'r Vale Boy's photostream. Here was this impressive waterfall that I knew nothing about! I had to go a see it for myself.
