In the mid 70's a tradgedy on the Penarth Line as a man tries to take a short cut across the line from Cogan to the Price Bros Woodyard that stood where Tesco's is today. He was hit by a train, and word spread rapidly around the town. I cycled down from the Pandora Cafe and took these pictures.

For many years after the closure of the line from Penarth to Barry via Sully. This imposing concrete footbridge remained in Sully Terr on the site of the old Alberta Place halt. It has now long since been demolished and no trace remains.
