One of my favourite Christmas presents this year was this Airfix Kit of a Ford Escort Mk1. I spent most of Boxing Day building and painting it. Here's the finished model. This was my first car see below.

This was the first car I owned. Although I had been driving my mothers Hillman Imp around before this. It was one of two Ford Escort MK1's I've had. This one had jacked up rear suspension and was held together with paint! MOT's were alot less stringent in those far off halcyon days.

Although I'd been driving my mothers Hillman imp for over a year, this was the first car I owned. My beloved Ford Escort. Check out that paint job and sun strip complete with name! I'd raised the suspension a bit on the rear end too!
