30 ft below this manhole cover is the now buried portal of the second longest railway tunnel in Wales. Last time I was on this spot was 1975 and the view was very different! See here flic.kr/p/8me37X

It's quite rare to see this portal as it has now been burried. The railings above, are alongside the main road. It was snowing heavily.
