Rose Room 11

I started working with a Pattern Overlay design called "Tie Dye." Then I had to figure out what to actually do with it. These things always take longer than you think they will. :D Shown smaller than the original completed size of 3555 X 5175 pixels.

Pigeons would've been better, but I didn't have any good shots of them. I wonder if there's still anyone alive in this town who'd repair a digital camera for me. Shown smaller than the original completed size of 2403 X 3500 pixels. See one original source here .

Little Banana 6

So, this ended up featuring all the things which go into that definitive American dessert: banana pudding. To be honest, I'm not all that fond of it, but my husband is. Also, I really wasn't sure about this layout, but I do really love those peaceful blue brushstrokes. Just think of me as a 20th-rate Chagall. :D Shown smaller than the original completed size of 5100 X 3000 pixels. See one original source here .

"Listen to my song, ladies, please take strictly understand Don't let no outside woman make no biscuits for your man..." -- Memphis Minnie/M. McCoy (1897-1973) Shown slightly smaller than the completed size of 1350 X 1650 pixels. See one original source here .

ATC "Red Box"

Collage, decollage, and colored pencil on board. Originally posted 11/12/06. The almost 3D effect of the triangular blue "chip" is cool, but the similarity in size of all the objects makes it too cluttered. Oh, well.

Old J.C. 2

Another nod to the master: Joseph Cornell. This time, it's my attempt at the formula for his Hotel collages: a box shape with (nearly always) a pillar on one side and at least one sphere shape inside. Shown smaller than the original completed size: 4200 X 5025 pixels. See one original source here .

Double Cross 2

02 Aug 2018 3 237
An appropriate title, since "message" pieces always make my eyes cross for hours after completion. So naturally I had to do two of them in a row. :P Original completed size: 4724 X 3543 pixels. Shown smaller than that. Here's one of the original sources.

Buzzard's Bake Shop 2

Spend all you want on the ads, but the product's still blah. :p Shown smaller than the original size of 1600 X 1304 pixels. One of several original sources is here .

Under that is a full-strength layer of "Stylize: Emboss" (Linear Light mode) and an unaltered layer. Other touch-ups and some blending with Eraser.
