As day breaks, morning fog collects on the bottom of an old rickety dock at Blind Brook in Rye, New York My rowboat Coco and I ventured at dawn into the nooks and crannies. It was early autumn as reflectedi n the vibrant colors of seagrass in gold and light pink. Blind Brook is a tidal waterway emanating from Long Island Sound. Fog lifts gently from the surface of the water and land as day breaks.

Old rusted paint can with used brushes sitting on top of a rowboat at City Island, Bronx, New York. The boat and can have been there for years. Peeling blue paint exposes the bottom of the wooden boat and the can is rusted to a strong color through exposure to the elements. City Island is an oasis not far from Manhattan connected by one bridge. It is a hot spot for boaters from the surrounding New York, Connecticut and New Jersey.
