Since it is unclear who actually owns the 161kv Line, let's just say IP&L new Metal H-Frame. Actually talked to the Linemen who built this tower, but forgot to ask them who owns it. XD Burn and McDonald were putting it up, so it's probably KCP&L.

This line comes from a Substation in Birmingham, MO to 291, and splits. The Backbone part of the line going South to Sugar Creek, MO and a branch part of the line going north for 1/2 Mile.

Newly built Distribution Transformer Bank. Unfortunately, Evergy has made the switch to Fiberglass Crossarms as standard equipment, for the most part. You'll see find classic wood construction here and there.

You may not be able to see it, but there's a Abandoned Distribution Line in the Woods off of 210 HWY.

A Transformer Bank for a Conoco Gas Station on 210. The Insulators on the 69kv were replaced recently, not sure why when the other insulators weren't really that old.

Nothing too special going on here.

Two 4kv or 4160v Lines leaving the substation. Not for sure if the line on the other side is IP&L or MoPub's line. I think it's just MoPub's.

Typical Junction Pole (I guess that's what you can call it.) with a Switch on both sides. You can find these what's left on the "Pocket Subs" in the Kansas City area. There are actually some operating at 34.5kv and still in service outside of Kansas City, mostly in the country of Missouri. 34.5 Sub-Transmission Line entering the Substation and a 4kv line leaving the Substation.

I’m not entirely sure if this substation has been decommissioned completely. This Sub use to run 34.5kv to (I’m assuming 4kv or 4160v.) years ago. I think it now runs 13kv or 12kv to 4kv now, I could be very well wrong. I was standing by the fence and I heard the Transformers still making a buzzing noise, so I’m a little bit confused now. This is one of very few 34.5kv “Pocket Subs” left on MoPub’s grid. I need to do a Line Safari in this area soon before KCP&L or IP&L decide to take down the rest of the 4kv System in this area.
