No.7 [St. Trillo] one of the two upper section tramcars, was pulled a little way out of the maintenance bay at Halfway, for our inspection.
MER[18] - No.7 at Derby Castle

MER No.7 [Blue, Ivory & Teak livery] with trailer in tow arriving at the Derby Castle terminus.
For this journey No.7 has been paired with Trailer 56, the disabled saloon.
The horse tram [bulkhead car] in the background is the 1907 built No.44, in the Red White and Blue "Royal Tram" livery.

Finally, all complete - apart from some seat squabs.
The Flying Bench [No.7] in 1991, taken from up on top of a ladder.
I had a small hand in the preparation for, and actually doing, the painting and varnishing of the "Flying Bench" - I have also spent quite some time aboard as the "Person in Charge" [ref the "special operating rules"]. The Welsh mountainsides in the cuttings feel even closer than they do in the normal carriages - in a few places the clearances are, literally, measured in single digit inches.
