RNLI B-702 "Manchester Unity of Oddfellows" was the first Atlantic 75 class to go into service at Sheringham in the UK. Displayed in the new (opened 2016) top floor extension to The Mo museum.

This case of tools has mainly boat builder's (shiprights) tools, including the frame patterns for planking (strakes) for clinker built boats.

Mostly Shipwright's tools (or a ship's carpenter). 1 of 2 images. Mallet, chisels, planes, spokeshave, files/rasps, augers etc (although there are also three caulking chisels)

Class 08 shunter, built in 1960, in BR Green livery with late crest ("ferret and dartboard") looked as though it was acting as Sheringham station pilot ( on the North Norfolk Railway aka "The Poppy Line")

JC Madge - looking down at the deck. JC Madge is a41' pulling / sailing Liverpool class lifeboat, ON 536, powered by 16 oars (which could be doubled manned). She served at Sheringham from 1904 to 1936 and saved 58 lives in 34 launches, no medal services but she did manage to break a leg - that of the "Hon Sec" during a launch on 9/2/1924. Her launching carriage was built by the Bristol Carriage and Wagon Company and delivered (free) by rail, it is equipped with what are now known as "Tippings Plates" to help prevent the wheel sinking into soft sand or loose shingle.

The first motor lifeboat stationed at Sheringham. ON 786 - 35' 6" - Liverpool class "Forerster's Centenary" served 1936 - 1961 and saved 82 lives in 129 launches. Awards: I silver and 2 bronze medals.

Lovely day on the beach at Sheringham. This marker post initially had three cormorants, all drying their wings, but by the time the camera was out of the bag, this was the situation.
