That really is a part of the Atlantic Ocean ... taken at 13:43 on 4th August 2008. Compare the water level in the previous image - taken at 10:05 nearly four hours earlier in the tidal cycle.

Clachan Bridge links Seil Island to western mainland Scotland. Also known as The Bridge over the Atlantic, there is a terrific tidal race that flows under this bridge. At just after 10:05, this is not far short of high tide, and that means there will be a brief period of slack water. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clachan_Bridge
