Hazel catkins appeared rather earlier than I expected in 2022. These are on the convoluted variety often known as "Harry Lauder's Walking Stick" or the corkscrew hazel [Corylus avellana 'contorta'] - we also have a normal filbert / hazel growing a short distance away to the left of this view.
