The imposition of the "sugar tax" on manufactured drinks [bottled, canned etc] is part of an attempt to promote healthy eating to deal with the UK's obesity problem - esp in children. Somewhat similar to the "Five a Day" campaign, although the "sugar tax" is from the stick rather than the carrot side ! . not my image : fair use & public education
