Yes, spring lambs are well-named !
Luckily, the dry stone walls around here [SW Northumberland] are quite good at keeping lambs inside the fields.

Pollarded trees next to a small beck in the Lake District.
Some of the Herdwicks are / have been browsing the bark off the cut branches.
The wall nearest the beck needs rebuilding as it appears partially collapsed - some of the other dry stone walls appear to be "clearance" walls - that is, used as a safe place to put stones picked off the fields.
