Lungwort - a white flowered cultivar "Sissinghurst White" - growing in our "wildwood" [we didn't plant it] and there are still twigs and small branches all over the place because of the winter storms. www.rhs.org.uk/plants/137190/i-pulmonaria-i-sissinghurst-white/details en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pulmonaria

The pond / wetland habitat in our wildwood grows a remarkable patch of "marsh marigolds" [ Caltha palustris ] most years, in 2023 the flowers were extensive. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caltha_palustris

SoS[23] - horse chestnut

The tip buds on the horse chestnut are in the very early stages of opening ... (the daffodils around here are in a slightly better condition than some of the others)

12 Apr 2023 14
A rather weedy set of naturalised daffodils - will need to feed these a bit over the next couple of years and maybe get them some more light.

SoS[23] - wildwood daffs

although it was sunny when I snapped these daffs in the wildwood, the weather had been battering them for the past few days.

oaw[HH] - hello ! [explored]

19 Jun 2024 18 8 214
Chunky hedgepig found at home - I think the wind shut the door behind her/him, as we found him in the outhouse. There had been food in the outhouse already and s/he was waiting to be let out ! methinks this is our regular visitor as s/he seemed not overly scared of us - more annoyed at being shut in for a few hours. Ate some more food and skedaddled sharpish !

SoS[24] - single daff ...

29 Apr 2024 4 202
One single daff, flowering in the wildwood, caught in the sunlight and quivering in the breeze.
