Remains of the Great Hall on the left of the Great Tower, the chapel was to the right. In the foreground is the inside wall of the State Apartments. Their outside wall, and the moat, is behind the camera position.

Only three pieces of the house's original furniture have survived. One of these, a large refectory table, which is displayed in the Great Hall.

Only three pieces of the house's original furniture have survived :- one is this large cupboard described as a "cubborde of boxes" in an inventory of 1599, possibly used for storing spices, currently displayed in the Great Hall.
