Walking along the New Old Quay, don't go to the left of the bollards - the surface slopes and is slippery. Boat just visible is "Saltire" an ex-lifeboat. Taken late afternoon on a dull day.

Feeding the marina swans, 11th December 2016 - actually, we gave them some old breakfast cereal, not bread. Several cobs (males) are displaying to each other and the pens (females) with half-raised wings, this is "busking" but the wing posture can be used to "wind-surf" as well. There are several established pairs, but also several non-breeding adults, juveniles and cygnets in the marina population.

(ON 802 is a 46' Watson class, was "City of Edinburgh" when stationed at Wick 1938 to 1968, during which time she was launched 133 times and saved 204 lives, (earning a bronze medal in 1942), she then "retired" into the relief fleet until being sold in 1976)
