This RSH 0-6-0T locomotive was originally built in 1938 as a saddle tank at their Darlington works, recorded as works number 6947 for Scunthorpe steel works [Appleby Frodingham - presumably that's where the 39 comes from]. Restored to Robert Stephenson and Hawthorns deep maroon livery around 2006 [although it looks freshly repainted here] - 'Stivvies' works was active in Darlington for a long time and built a wide variety of locos for home and abroad, the last ones being Class 37 diesel electrics.
