Plan [map] of Smith & Walton's Hadrian Paint Works, scanned from the employee's handbook. Undated, but I think it is some time after 1966, as it differs in a few details from the mid-1950s model [especially areas 1 & 2 - warehouse was built in October 1966, after the big fire].. . not my image : fair use & public information

The Hadrian Works site in the mid-1950s. [appears to be a re-touched aerial image] Points to note - i) there appears to be a rail transhipment dock in the middle of the row of buildings next to the railway. ii) very few cars, other vehicles or people visible.
