Atlantic 85 B-855 "Eric C Guest" was built in 2011 and has spent most of the time since then in the relief and training fleets. This weekend she has been acting as Pilot for vessels attending the Lifeboat Festival - eg escorting "William Riley" downriver and into the marina.

B-855 leading "William Riley" around the pontoons to her berth. I wish that I had made time to go look at the wooden yacht over by the hammerhead ... looks interesting !

Contrasts between "William Riley" [1909 Rubie self-righting rowing], and the modern lifeboats. To the left is an Atlantic 85 [B-855 'Eric C Guest'] and to the right a pair of KNRM [Dutch] boats. The smaller one reminds me of a Brede. Will update when I can ID the two Dutch boats. OK, got the data ... Smaller one is the "Riet en Jan Wijk" and the larger is "Antoinette"
