Viewed from Douglas [Loch] Promenade ... The combined fence and wall protects the drop from the Promenade down to the beach, depending on what Manannan has done with the beach sand, that drop can be quite a few feet. On the left is Conister Isle, with the Tower of Refuge, built in 1832 by Sir William Hillary after the wreck of the packet St. George in 1830. Breakwaters & Piers of Douglas Harbour. On the right - that's "Corinthian" not sure of her status, she's moored on the outside of the Victoria Pier. [HFF'd on 19thSept2023 - no visits before 09:00]
