My impression of the planned "Great Green Wall" project is that this replanting is intended to improve the tropical rain forest cover and to reduce the southwards encroachment of the desertification ... However, part of the success - or otherwise - will depend on measures to alleviate the sub-Saharan drought, including something man can't do ie make it rain .... . .
