Gordon was based at the Longmoor Military Railway, having been built in 1943 by the North British Locomotive Co to the War Department's 2-10-0 "Austerity" design. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Longmoor_Military_Railway [the chase towards the end of the film "Great St Trinian's Train Robbery" was staged at the LMR - I would dearly love to see the operating instructions / call sheet for that. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Great_St_Trinian%27s_Train_Robbery [As was the chase in the "Runaway Railway" ... I've just watched part of this film, and spotted Gordon & LMR on the coaches ... another call sheet that would be interesting to read over].
