At the back is a Marshall - EngineNo. 52483 - 16hp, built 1909. Used to drive overhead shafts to power fruit-crushers at Tiptree Jam Factory. The large flywheel serves to even out the power supplied through the shafts and belts. Bought for £450 in 1972 via a magazine advert !
