One group of early flowering roadside daffodils, these are growing only a short distance from us [it's not the place in the background !]

Dandelions - Taraxacum officinale Often regarded as a tap-rooted pesky weed when they pop up in lawns ! usually, I let the early ones flower for the benefit of my local bees ... Has quite a number of common names, some referencing the herbal properties, especially the French one !
