The area covered by the amber snow warning issued 8th March 2023, for next two days ie Thursday 9th and Friday 10th March 2023. Mostly the Pennines - but several additional areas were also affected, but to a lesser extent. . . Not my image ; Fair use & public information.

I live approximately where that amber warning cuts the border between England and Scotland. Judging by the damage caused by windy weather over Friday night, we were actually inside the zone. [mainly to nearby trees, but power lines were down only a few miles away]. . Storm Arwen - in the UK - 25th to 27th November 2021 - resulted in many people being without electrical power due to damaged OHL supply routes, sometimes for prolonged periods. eg.
