Pointed barrel-vaulted roof to the crypt under the Cathedral of St German. Ben de-Dog was most reluctant to enter the crypt via the narrow stairs entrance. It was the only place he wasn't happy to explore, even with encouragement and a bit of bribery ... I must admit I wasn't too happy down there.

The ruins of the Cathedral of St German, which was abandoned in the 18th century. [centre left is a ruined bastion from refortifications carried out in about 1860(?) known as "Half-Moon Battery"]
